Fred: un (pas si) nouveau contributeur sur le blog!

Bonjour,

Je suis ravi de vous annoncer l’arrivée de Fred un contributeur pas si nouveau qui va maintenant poster des articles sur ce blog. En effet Fred ne vous est pas inconnu, vous avez déjà eu l’occasion de l’entendre à plusieurs reprises dans la série d’émission Comment Progresser.

Il anime aussi depuis déjà plusieurs mois sur la page Google+ de La Chaîne Guitare sa chronique “Another Rubrique In The Wall“.

C’est donc tout naturellement que je lui ai proposé d’écrire des articles sur ce blog afin de partager sa passion de la guitare.

As a reminder the first women interviewed was Heike Matthiesen whom I interviewed in french in episode #103 at last year MusikMesse. I also did more recently an interview with her in english that I will publish in the near future.

3 ans déjà!

Bonjour,

Eh oui! Cela fait 3 ans jour pour jour que j’ai démarré La Chaîne Guitare. Alors voilà un bilan format bullet-point:

• 143 épisodes postés
• 20 en anglais
• 20 vidéos
• 25 soundseeings de guitares, pédales et autres accessoires
• 15 000 téléchargements par mois
• 240 000 téléchargements depuis le lancement en mars 2009
• 30 000 vues sur le blog
• Des dizaines de concerts
• Des milliers de décibels
• Des tas de belles rencontres avec des stars ou des pas-encore-stars
• Des belles discussions avec les auditeurs croisés au gré des opportunités
• Des dizaines de CD reçus, tous scrupuleusement écoutés avec parfois quelques coups de cœur extraordinaires qui se sont transformés en rencontres.
• 1600 personnes sur la page fan Facebook en français, un peu plus de 250 sur la page anglaise.
• 1100 followers Twitter sur @lachaineguitare et 1800 sur @theguitarchnnl
• Plus de 3600 tweets en français et plus de 900 en anglais.

C’est aussi plein de commentaires, tweets, contributions audios de plein d’auditeurs aussi passionnés que moi, voir plus. 1000 merci à eux.

Et toujours cette même passion et ce même bonheur pour moi.
Oui c’est beaucoup de boulot, oui produire La Chaîne Guitare et The Guitar Channel me coûte de l’argent mais quel pied!!

Et quel chemin parcouru, au risque de paraître prétentieux, jamais je n’aurais pensé pouvoir construire quelque chose de pareil quand j’ai commencé il y a 3 ans.

Il me reste maintenant à trouver la formule pour financer le développement futur de La Chaîne Guitare/The Guitar Channel. Une formule de mécénat?

As you can guess I was thrilled to speak to Guthrie who is one of the srongest rising star of guitar playing. It’s the kind of musician you hear about in guitar magazine way before you hear their music then you discover what they do and you’re blown away!

Yes, Guthrie is THAT good.

The Aristocrats is what you can call a super group with Guthrie Govan on the guitar, Bryan Beller (aka @bryanbeller) on bass on Marco Minnemann on drums. I had the great opportunity to talk to 2 out of the 3 members of the band.

Here is part 1 of 2 with the interview of Bryan Beller who also played with none other than Steve Vaï among many others.

I tremendously enjoyed the Aristocrats debut album. Yes, it’s chock full of incredible technical work but it is even more full of great songs with great melodies and feelings all over the CD.

We are talking music here, it’s NOT a boring intellectual jazz-fusion thing. I can’t wait to see those guys play live.
